Degenerative Disc Disease
Degenerative Disc Disease, or DDD, is actually not a disease, it is a condition. The condition is typically age-related, with
onset often occurring in mid and later stages of life.
However, DDD is not infrequently found in younger people as well.
Fundamentally, the condition is caused by the deterioration of the spongy, pliant pillows that rest between spinal
vertebrae. |

Pes Planus
Flat feet (pes planus) is a condition marked by the presence of flat arches in the foot. While in and of itself not a problem
that results in pain, flatfeet can lead to other issues that cause pain, discomfort and suboptimal gait issues. Flat feet is
best described a condition of the body that predisposes the people who have it to other issues, little different from the
way left-handedness predisposes have greater strength in their left hand.

Hand Injury Prevention
Hand injuries come in a lot of different shapes and types. The hand does a lot of life’s heavy lifting: everything from writing
to driving to throwing a ball to picking up a baby or a bag of groceries. We depend greatly upon our hands. So, when
they are injured, the implications can be significant and long lasting. |

AC Joint Injury
AC Joint Injury are common. There are around 300 joints in the human body and many of them are susceptible to what we commonly think of as
injury. Not all of them are; technically the plates that form the skull create joints, for example, but we don’t think of these
in the same way as joints in the neck, shoulder, hip, knees and ankles that are prone to injury. |

Low back pain treatment
Lower back pain is one of the commonly shared human xperiences of pain; most people at some point in their adult life
will experience lower back pain. It is a reality of upright human life. Lower back pain has many different causes, and there
are several different ways to reduce the pain associated with it and correct some of the problems that commonly underlie
the pain. |
 |
Side of neck pain
Neck pain at the side and shoulder pain, unfortunately, are very commonly experienced among the adult population. There are many
causes for neck pain and shoulder pain. Maintaining a position for too long can cause acute pain, so simply sitting at your
desk for long periods, hunched over a computer, can be an issue. Problems can be caused from years of bad posture.
Carrying a heavy bag on your shoulder over a period of time can also create serious and lasting neck and shoulder pain. |

Pinched nerve in your neck or lower back. How do you treat it
Pinched nerve in your neck? Is it possible? While never impingement happens in relatively harmless ways on a daily basis, the severity of problem caused by a
pinched never can be quite serious indeed. Left unattended and unaddressed, a pinched nerve in some parts of your body can cause permanent
loss of function of the affected area and long term pain as well. |

Osteoarthritis exercises
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common of arthritis, and results from deterioration and loss of joint cartilages, which are
responsible for providing cushioning in the joint. The degenerative arthritis that results is painful and potential debilitating.
The condition becomes more common with age; however it is more common in men that women who are under 45 and
more common women than men who are over age 55. Symptoms typically being in middle age, and affect most people
over the age of 70. Typically the condition affects the spine, knees, hips and feet. |

sacroiliac joint dysfunction
Pelvic misalignment can lead to many serious conditions. Because the pelvis is so intimately associated with so many
different types of body movement, a problem with the alignment of the pelvis can have far reaching and serious consequences. As is true throughout the body, when a critical part gets out of alignment, changes occur in other parts of
the structure to compensate. The compensation process ultimately leads to much of the pain and discomfort associated
with back, neck, hip and leg pain. |

Plantar fasciitis exercises
Plantars fasciitis is common source of heel pain. It is caused by inflammation of the plantar fasica, which is the thick band
of tissue that runs from the heel to the toes on the bottom of the foot. The pain can be extreme is often most acutely
experienced when the patient first steps out of bed in the morning. While the pain tends to diminish with motion, it can
reemerge during the day if the patient stands after being seated for awhile, or if the patient must stand for long periods. |

How to treat sciatica
A form of pain commonly experienced by most people at some point in their lives, Sciatica can also be a persistent
source of discomfort for many people. There are, however, useful treatment and exercise programs that can be pursued
to help sufferers limit or eliminate the pain associated with the condition. |

scoliosis of the spine
Scoliosis describes curvature that develops in the spine. This curve is lateral in direction, meaning it moves
away from the in a sideways direction. Scoliosis is frequently accompanied by pain in the upper or lower back, and
fatigue, and is marked by shoulders and hips that are uneven, as well as a spine that visibly curves laterally.

slipped disc symptoms
A slipped disc has actually not slipped at all, rather it has ruptured or otherwise lost its jelly like fluid, causing it to deflate.
This creates issues because spinal discs are pads that rest between vertebrae and provide shock absorption and other
types of protection for the spine; without the fluid inside, they cannot perform this function. A variety of injuries or
degenerative conditions can lead to the rupture or flattening of the disc, which can in turn, lead to a variety of painful
conditions. Other names for the condition include ruptured disc, herniated discs, prolapsed disc and disc protrusions. |
 |
lumbar spondylosis
Spondylosis is a commonly experienced cause of back pain; it involves spinal degeneration, caused by wear on cartilage
and bones in the spine. A condition involving spinal joints, ligaments and discs, Spondylosis occurs when the cushioning
and shock absorbing properties of the disc is lost, ligaments weaken and bone growths occur. An age-related condition,
it can be quite painful, and the symptoms of the syndrome tend to worsen with age. Symptoms typically include pain,
tingling, muscle spasms and stiffness. |
 |
symptoms tension headaches
Many people who have suffered from them ask: “what exactly is a tension headache?” And because it is the most
commonly experienced form of headache, there are many people asking that question. Unfortunately, there are not a lot
of great answers as to what causes the headaches. However, there are some stablished treatment programs that pull
from a wide array of medical disciplines. |
